This exquisite tea emerges in the renowned low grown elevations of Ruhuna and Sabaragamuwa, around 2000 feet from sea level, with unique climatic conditions & soil due to the proximity to the lush Sinharaja rain forest and coastal plains.
These conditions impart a full-bodied taste, having trace bitter notes as well a hint of sweet caramel notes which incidentally also expresses the character of the tea pluckers in that region. It is accompanied with a dark yellow-brown liquor with a reddish tint and the aroma has a perfect balance of being strong and robust.
